Established in the spring of 2006, Sorrow Underfoot is a girl led Christian rock
band based out of Southern California. Founded by two sisters, the band consists
of Shannon Taylor (singer/song writer/keyboardist), Brittany Taylor (guitarist),
Justin Taylor (drummer), Jeremiah Whitten
(Bassist), Chris Wright (Guitarist).
The mission of Sorrow Underfoot is to reach out to teens and challenge them
about the pop culture and lifestyle that surrounds them. Committed to their
purpose, their collective style and sound has begun to emerge - but more
importantly, their mission.
With countless hours in the garage, the band has worked diligently writing
songs and learning their craft. 2006 and 2007 brought the band many shows in
the Southern California area. They played at many churches, coffee shops,
festivals, concert halls, and among these they performed at the 2006 Indie
Showcase at Spirit West Coast in Del Mar, CA. The band's music has evolved
through the years and Sorrow Underfoot recently released The Epicentric EP
in July 2008, which was recorded with
Red Crosby Studios.
In the winter of 2006 the band was asked by
Calvary Chapel Church Planting
Missions to headline outreach concert series in different Russian cities.
Now the band has traveled to Russia five times and will be leaving again in
July for their sixth Russia tour.
