We passed out more Gospel of Johns to people in Krasnogorsk. A lot of older people seemed interested. This one old guy walked across the train tracks just to get one, then he walked back.
The Krasnogorsk park outreach went good. First we had a church service. Pastor
Page of Calvary Chapel Krasnogorsk. It was
cool cause I think some nearby people were listening. We mostly passed out
Gospel of John tracts.
The tracts have information about the new church.
There were a few Russian guys who played volleyball with us, and we invited them to
church. We continue to pass out Gospel of Johns. I am praying that this will
bring people to church ,and most importantly, Jesus Christ!
Tomorrow, we're going to pass out tracts in Moscow, and on the 7th we leave for
Kaluga to play our first concert outreaches!!
Thanks for all your prayers. I can see God answer them every day.
God Bless,
Justin Taylor
Dear Family and Friends,
Happy New Year! I hope the New Year has found all of you well. It was
definitely an experience celebrating the New Year in Russia. This holiday is
huge over here, in a sense it is even bigger than our American Christmas. The
staff at the Dorm put on a New Year's party full of Russian food and games, it
was very intriguing.
Well tonight we played our second concert in Krasnogorsk, one the cities
that we did an outreach in during the summer. This time the concerts are
for the Church plant in the city. Our dear friend Page, whom we were
fellow team members with on Blago outreach last Nov., will be the pastor
of the church.
It is so exciting to see how God is bringing this all
together. This city is a hard one to reach, it is right outside of
Moscow and it is definitely less receptive than others we have been.
Nonetheless I know God has a plan for this place.
It was a blessing to
see kids return that we befriended over the summer. These kids have
become so dear to our hearts, I want so badly for them see truly see the
love that Jesus is trying to offer them. One girl in particular has
stolen my heart. her name is Kate, she is 16 years old. She has such a
beautiful soul. Tonight we were talking about Jesus and she is so stuck
on the idea that one is simple born in Christianity, whatever that may
be, and that is good enough.
I am excited that we have started this
dialogue since she never been open to me in prior conversations over the
summer. Please pray that I would have the words to say when I speak to
her again.
